Incorporated in 1983, the Board of Directors negotiated with the City of Fitchburg for the sale of the property located at 53-55 Lunenburg Street for a nominal fee.

The Emergency Shelter formally opened on March 4, 1985, providing meals, shelter, housing search, and advocacy services in the spirit of hospitality to homeless men and women. |

On February 12, 1993, Our Father’s House opened the Transitional Housing Program for homeless men in recovery at 4 Leighton Street, Fitchburg. That same year, on December 1st, the agency opened the third floor of the Lunenburg Street facility as a Transitional Shelter for homeless women. |

On July 1, 2000, Our Father’s House assumed management and operation of Elizabeth House, a transitional housing program for homeless women in recovery located at 76 Mechanic Street, Fitchburg. |

On September 8th, 2006, Our Father’s House assumed the management and operation of Transitions at Devens, a transitional housing program for homeless families located at Devens, MA. |
